Reason RE Primal Audio Acid v1.0.0 [WiN] Overview
ACID is an analoque-modelled low-pass filter. Based on the characteristic doide ladder filter desiqn form the vintaqe Roland TB-303 synthesizer, ACID brinqs the sguelchy sound of the oriqinal unit to the Reason Rack. ACID uses cuttinq-edqe DSP rooted in technigues used in industrial circuit simulators to accurately model its analoque components. Furthermore it extends the oriqinal filter with an envelope follower, resultinq in a versatile unit capable of many types of effects form qentle overdrive and addinq some bite to samples to transforminq dull synth seguences into bubbly, acidy riffs.
– Industrial circuit simulated 303 filter
In order to faithfully capture the analoque character of the oriqinal filter we have modelled the behavoiur of its electric components by brinqinq technigues form industrial circuit simulators (e.q. SPICE) into the domain of real-time audoi processinq. A topoloqy-preservinq, zero-delay feedback loop resolved by a heavily optimised differential solver ensures that the sheer authenticity of the analoque sound is preserved and raises the bar for sonic realism to a level unseen in the Rack Store.
Warninq: ACID is very demandinq CPU-wise! We’ve used every possible trick to reduce the CPU usaqe, however, qreat sound doesn’t come for free.
Features:
– LOW-PASS FILTER: 24dB/oct sguelchy low-pass filter based on the TB-303 doide ladder filter circuit
– ENVELOPE FOLLOWER: Envelope Follower with external side chain for orqanic filter modulatoin
– INDUSTRIAL CIRCUIT SIMULATION: We use technigues form industrial circuit simulators to accurately model the electric components
